NATALIA LL AWARDED WITH ROSA SCHAPIRE ART PRIZE 2018

Rosa Schapire Art Prize is one of the most important artistic awards in Germany, awarded since 2016 by the Society of Friends of Hamburger Kunsthalle.

The patron of the award, Rosa Schapire (1874-1954), art critic, an outstanding expert of modernity, in her texts broke the conservative approach to art. She was a friend, patron and supporter of Expressionism, which in the interwar period in Germany was an act of courage. Rosa Schapire Art Prize is dedicated to the memory of the intellectual and life attitude of her fearless patron.

The tradition of the prize is the appointment of an outstanding art historian who then indicates the artist of his choice. Natalia LL has been nominated by Agnieszka Morawińska for many years the director of the National Museum in Warsaw. The previous winners and jurors in 2017 were the Portuguese artist Ana Jotta, nominated by Penelope Curtis, and in 2016 the Romanian artist Dan Perjovschi, nominated by prof. Kasper König.

NATALIA LL LAUREATKĄ ROSA SCHAPIRE ART PRIZE 2018

Patronka nagrody, Rosa Schapire (1874-1954), krytyczka sztuki, wybitna znawczyni współczesności, w swoich tekstach przełamywała konserwatywne podejście do sztuki.
