Anna Panek (1977), malarka i architektka, absolwentka Wydziału Architektury Politechniki Wrocławskiej oraz Wydziału Malarstwa Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie. Stypendystka Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego, finalistka konkursu Samsung Art Master. Tworzy obrazy, murale, instalacje związane z architekturą. W jej działaniach artystycznych obie dziedziny sztuki łączą się i przenikają. Dla Panek architektura jest formą ramową, zdyscyplinowaną, określoną kulturowo, podczas gdy malarstwo – pierwotne i dzikie, należące do porządku naturalnego. Może swobodnie rozprzestrzeniać się, anektować, zacierać lub przekształcać fizyczne struktury. Wielobarwność, zmysłowość, ruch, akumulacja, zarastanie przestrzeni to ważne cechy jej praktyki artystycznej.
Jej prace były wystawiane m.in. w Galerii Arsenał w Białymstoku, CSW Zamek Ujazdowski w Warszawie, Zachęcie Narodowej Galerii Sztuki w Warszawie, Muzeum Narodowym w Gdańsku, Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej w Warszawie, lokalu_30. Prace artystki znajdują się m.in. w kolekcjach Banku Polskiego i Muzeum Narodowego w Gdańsku. Mieszka i pracuje w Warszawie.
Anna Panek (1977) is painter and architect, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Wroclaw University of Technology and the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, finalist in the Samsung Art Master competition. She creates paintings, murals, and installations related to architecture. In her artistic activities, both fields of art are juxtaposed and sometimes opposed to each other. For Panek, architecture is a frame, disciplined, culturally defined form, while painting is primitive and wild, it belongs to the natural order. It can freely spread, annex, obliterate, or transform physical structures. Multi-color, sensuality, movement, accumulation, and overgrowing of space are important features of her artistic practice.
Her works have been exhibited at the Arsenal Gallery in Bialystok, the CCA Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, the Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw, the National Museum in Gdańsk, and the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. The artist’s works can be found in the collections of the Polish Bank and the National Museum in Gdańsk, among others. She lives and works in Warsaw.
