Liliana Zeic

Liliana Zeic (Piskorska) (1988) jest artystką wizualną, queerową feministką, doktorką sztuk pięknych.

W swojej praktyce artystycznej analizuje kwestie społeczne z perspektywy feministyczno-queerowej, zajmuje się tematami queerowości i nieheteronormatywności oraz czerpie z doświadczeń wychowania w regionie Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej. Pracuje z wideo, fotografią, obiektem i tekstem, tworząc intermedialne i performatywne projekty badawcze.

Jest finalistką Forecast Forum w Haus der Kulturen der Welt w Berlinie w 2017 roku i laureatką nagrody publiczności: Spojrzenia 2019 w Zachęcie Narodowej Galerii Sztuki. Brała udział w ponad 130 wystawach indywidualnych i zbiorowych w Polsce i za granicą. Jej prace znajdują się w kolekcjach prywatnych i instytucji publicznych (m.in. Zachęta Narodowa Galeria Sztuki, Muzeum Współczesne Wrocław, Galeria Miejska Arsenał).

Mieszka w Polsce. Od lutego 2021 roku tworzy pod pseudonimem Zeic.

Liliana Zeic – bio

Liliana Zeic (Piskorska) (b. 1988) is a visual artist, queer feminist, PhD in fine arts.

In her artistic practice, she analyses social issues from the feminist-queer perspective, deals with the topics of queerness and non-heteronormativity, and draws on her experiences of being brought up in the region of Central/Eastern Europe. She works with video, photography, object, and text, creating intermedia and performative research-based projects.

She is a finalist of the Forecast Forum in Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin in 2017 and the Audience Award Winner: Views 2019 in Zachęta National Gallery of Art. She has taken part in over 130 individual and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Her works are part of private and public collections (incl. Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Wrocław Contemporary Museum, and Municipal Gallery Arsenal).

Based in Poland. She creates under the name Zeic since February 2021.
