On Friday, 23 August, at 3:30 p.m., a public discussion will be held at the opening of the exhibition „Missing” in the Tartu Art House. Meelis Pärtel, professor of botany at the University of Tartu, will participate in the conversation, as well as the artists Samuel Collins & Mo Langmuir, Justine Blau, Elīna Vītola, Kristina Õllek & Kert Viiart will perform at the exhibition. The conversation will be moderated by the exhibition curators Sara Bédard-Goulet and Marie-Laure Delaporte.

The discussion is driven by the central theme of the exhibition, which is the endangerment and extinction of species and the cultural meanings of these phenomena. The artists interpret and open up the topic through their works, and Meelis Pärtel explains the concept of dark diversity created by himself.
