Wolfgang Wirth

Wolfgang Wirth urodził się w 1966 roku w Innsbrucku. Mieszka i pracuje w Wiedniu.

Artysta zajmuje się głównie malarstwem i rysunkiem, przechodząc w ostatnich latach od prac o małych rozmiarach do bardzo dużych formatów.

Niektóre z jego ważnych wystaw indywidualnych to:
w 2021 roku: Ornamental Confrontation, Stadtgalerie Museumspavillon, Salzburg; w 2018 roku: FORTIFIED INFINITY, Galeria Belo-Galsterer, Lizbona; w 2019 roku: RUGS, MUHNAC – Museu Nac. d. História Natural e Ciência, Lizbona (z J. Schwaigerem), a także w Galerii lokal_30 w Warszawie w 2008 i 2006 roku.

Prace artysty znajdują się w różnych austriackich kolekcjach instytucjonalnych, a także w kolekcjach prywatnych w Austrii, Niemczech, Portugalii i Hiszpanii.

Wolfgang Wirth was born 1966 in Innsbruck. He lives and works in Vienna.

​The artist works mostly in painting and drawing, having moved from small-sized works to large oversized formats in the last years.

Some of his important solo exhibitions have been:
in 2021: Ornamental Confrontation, Stadtgalerie Museumspavillon, Salzburg; in 2018: FORTIFIED INFINITY, Galeria Belo-Galsterer, Lisboa;  in 2019: RUGS,  MUHNAC – Museu Nac. d. História Natural e Ciência, Lisbon (with J. Schwaiger) and also as well as at Gallery lokal_30, Warsaw, in 2008 and 2006.

The artist’s work is represented in diverse Austrian institutional collections, as well as in private collection in Austria, Germany, Portugal and Spain.
