I SAW THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SUN WITH YOU
Female Surrealists from Eastern Europe

Cromwell Place

12 – 30 April, 2023

Curated by Anke Kempkes, European ArtEast Foundation unveils an exhibition presenting some of the most outstanding female Surrealists from Poland, former Czechoslovakia, and former Yugoslavia, most of whom are still largely unknown in the West.

The exhibition lineup includes Maria Anto*, Teresa Żarnower, Erna Rosenstein, Alina Szapocznikow, Zofia Rydet, Franciszka Themerson, Alicja and Bożena Wahl, Eva Kmentová, Toyen, Ljiljana Blazevska, Milena Pavlović-Barili, Stanislava Kovalcikova.
