Filip Berendt (1975) mieszka i pracuje w Warszawie. Ukończył fotografię na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku, grafikę i malarstwo na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Łodzi oraz rzeźbę w Royal College of Art w Londynie. Eksplorując czysto formalne i zmysłowe właściwości medium fotograficznego, dąży do oddania fizyczności fotografowanych obiektów poprzez interakcję, performance i instalacje rzeźbiarskie. W swoich działaniach Berendt wykorzystuje rzeźbę i fotografię, często łącząc te techniki. Unikalny proces tworzenia sam w sobie jest również bardzo ważnym aspektem jego pracy.

Filip Berendt – bio

Filip Berendt (1975) lives and works in Warsaw, Poland. He graduated in Photography from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Poland, Graphics and Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland and Sculpture MA at the Royal College of Art in London. Exploring the purely formal and sensual qualities of photographic medium, striving to convey the physicality of photographed objects through interaction, performance and sculptural installations, he seeks to go beyond its documentary nature. In his actions Berendt uses both sculpture and photography, often combining these techniques. The unique process of creation itself is also a very important aspect of his work.
